Driver airlifted after car accident in Marysville

A 72 year old man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries after a rollover accident on southbound I-5 near Twin Lakes Avenue and 156th Street NE.

Apparently the Arlington man suffered some sort of serious medical emergency just before his car left the freeway lanes.  The car then struck the guardrail and rolled, landing on its right side on the west side of Twin Lakes Avenue.

His passenger, his 70 year old wife, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
