A doctor was the cause of death of a teenager after he hit the girl while texting and then fled the scene immediately. The doctor is accused of speeding and texting while drunk at the wheel. The grand jury indicted him on charges of manslaughters, vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence.
The district attorney said he may face over 20 years of jail time.
The 18-year-old teenager was hit and killed while she was riding her skateboard in the bike lane.
The doctor is accused of leaving the
fatal accident scene, removing the victim’s blood and body tissue from his vehicle and deleting text messages from his phone. Later that night, he was arrested at a gas station. Five hours after the accident, his blood was an alcohol content of .10 percent.

The defendant’s attorney is explaining that Dr. Corasanti is a healer, saves lives for a living and wouldn’t have kept going if he knew he hit someone.
The parent’s of the victim do not see it like that.
The parents' attorney, Chris O'Brien, said, "The parents don't want anyone to ever forget that this was their little girl who was killed, an innocent 18-year-old girl in a bike lane. Killed because somebody thought it was more important to
drink, drive and text."
He is expected to post bail to remain free until trial.
