A fatal car accident killed a man on Saturday afternoon in Kent.

The accident happened when his car was hit by an SUV. The man was on Morton Avenue and was attempting to head northbound on North Washington Avenue when he didn't yield to an oncoming SUV and was hit.

He was treated at the scene of the accident and transported to Harborview Medical Center where he later passed away. The driver of the SUV had minor injuries. He was taken to a local hospital and was released a short time later.
