A driver died in a fatal Auburn car accident early Tuesday morning on Highway 167.
The driver killed, a Bremerton resident, died at the scene of the accident. There were no passengers in the car.
The accident took place when a car hit the back of a tractor-trailor parked on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of Highway 167 in Auburn Tuesday morning.
According to the Valley Regional Fire Authority, the driver of the truck, a Missouri resident was uninjured in this accident.
Washington State Department of Transportation said no lanes were blocked but there was a backup going southbound for two miles and northbound for three.
The accident is still under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
