A Bellingham bicyclist has been injured in an accident in which an SUV turned left in front of him. He collided into the passenger front side of the Landrover landing on the hood and smashing into the windshield. The bicyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. However he received multiple fractures and abrasions. The bicyclist was transported to St. Joseph Hospital.
The driver of the Landrover was cited for "Failing to yield the right of way when making a left turn" and for "Failing to provide proof of insurance", which carries a total fine of $725 in Bellingham Municipal Court.
