A crash on northbound I-405 near the interchange at Highway 527 backed up traffic for 8 miles on Wednesday afternoon.
A car traveling north went off the roadway and struck an abandoned Ford Ranger pick up truck parked on the right shoulder. The empty truck went airborne and landed in the middle of the road.
Medics took a Lynnwood couple in their 80’s to a hospital as a precaution.
All lanes reopened around 5:20 p.m.
