The three-vehicle fatality collision that happened last week on September 21, 2011 in the westbound lanes of Interstate 82 killed one of the drivers in the crash. The accident happened near Yakitat Road in Benton County.
The investigation indicates a wide load truck was traveling in the right lane followed by a pilot car. A small truck, the third vehicle, rear ended the pilot car forcing it ahead into the wide load. The driver of the pilot
car died in the accident.
