China Has 1.74 Million Cars Recalled in 2011

The amount of cars that were recalled by China automakers took a major increase in comparison to last year. There were 1.74 million vehicles recalled in the first three quarters – the amount is not complete for a year’s total. Last year, there were only 1.17 million vehicles recalled.

It is more responsible for automakers to recall the vehicle immediately rather than waiting and receiving penalties that would potentially cost them more money in the long run. It is also a huge risk if they keep these cars on the roads because if several people are hurt, they can file a class lawsuit against the automaker for auto defects leading to injury or death.
