Child Injury Result of Pedestrian Accident in Lynwood | Car Accident Lawyers, Washington State

A child pedestrian accident injury in Lynwood took place Friday evening around rush hour. The driver of the car which hit the boy was uninjured.
The boy, just 13 years old, was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
According to Washington State Patrol, the boy was with a group of pedestrians crossing Highway 99 near 148th Street SW from the east to west side of the road when he was hit by a car.
The accident took place around 5:30 when the boy crossed upon being waved across the road by some cars that had stopped.
We hope that the boy injured in this accident is able to make a speedy recovery.
Pedestrian Accident Statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA), state that pedestrians make up almost 30% of all traffic fatalities involving kids under 15 years old.
More than 22% of all kids between five and nine years old were killed in traffic accidents as a pedestrian.
