Outcome: One dead, five injured
A man died in a car accident on Highway 3 near Poulsbo late Friday night.
Diandre D. Edgecombe, of Marysville was reported dead at the scene of the accident. Five other passengers in Edgecombe's car, including a one year old child were injured.
The child, who suffered from a head injury and two women were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. Two other passengers, a man and woman, were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton with injuries including broken ribs and pelvis.
Edgecombe failed to yield the right of way in his 1994 Dodge when he pulled out of a store, southbound onto Highway 3, just three miles north of Poulsbo. He was hit by a northbound 2002 Toyota pickup, driven by a Bainbridge Island man.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured.
