Car Accident on Aurora Avenue Leaves One Dead

All northbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North were closed last night (August 15, 2008) south of the Aurora bridge following a fatal accident.  Apparently a woman was killed when the minivan she was driving left the roadway, crashed into a concrete barrier and then flipped over.  The accident did not involve any other vehicles.  It happened near 1910 Aurora Avenue North at around 9pm.  A passenger in the van, a woman in her 20s, was also transported to Harborview with minor injuries.
