The new Apple iPhone update was released this morning and is building a lot of hype for the new features, such as the Siri voice control options. Siri will let iPhone users speak in their natural voice (not having to exaggerate pronunciation or speak loudly). You can perform many tasks on your phone through speaking, such as asking for a weather forecast, getting directions, setting an alarm, making an appointment, and even online features, such as searching Wikipedia. This feature is to be used as the owner’s personal assistant in essence. Apple also promises that the app will continue to get better as it learns the owner’s voice.
This can dramatically help those who rely on their phone for directions and other similar
assistance while driving. In fact, the new comemrcials for the phone, show the features being used while the owner is driving their vehicle.
Do you think the iPhone 4S will help in the fight against distracted driving or make it worse?
