A vehicle traveling westbound on Yakima Valley Highway hit a pedestrian that was on the north side of the roadway who was crossing the road. The
vehicle that hit the pedestrian briefly stopped and then left the scene. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The vehicle is reported to be a silver/gray Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.
