One person was killed in a bicycle collision near Port Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

A female bicyclist was killed when she was struck from behind by a 65-year-old female driving a Mercury Sable on Highway 112 near Elwha River Road.

The bicyclist was wearing a helmet and a neon-yellow safety jacket. The road was closed for over four hours while the wreck was cleared. The cause of the accident is unknown and still under investigation by Washington State Patrol.
