Bicyclist Injured in Crash with Car Near West Seattle Bridge | Bellevue Injury Attorney

West Seattle--  A bicyclist was injured in an accident where he ended up underneath the car that hit him near the West Seattle bridge. As a result, Admiral Way was closed in both directions near the scene of the accident which caused serious delays for drivers in the area.

The crash occured on SW Admiral Way meets where it meets SW Spokane Street at around 8:30 am this morning. When medics arrived on the scene, the man was pinned underneath the car, causing the fire fighters to have to have to lift the car off the man, who incidently was still conscious at the time he had the car lifted off of him.

He was immediately rushed to Harborview Medical Center where he is currently in 'serious condition.' The offramp from the bridge to Admiral reopened just before 10 a.m. after being closed for a little over an hour, but the on ramp to Admiral way remained closed well.

Although the victim's name was not made available by officials, he was identified as a man in the 40's.
