A female bicyclist was hit by a car at the intersection of Fourth Avenue South and Edgar Martinez Drive South on Wednesday afternoon. Police have offered very few details at this point, but according to Seattle Police spokeswoman Renee Witt, a blue car struck the cyclist at approximately 1 p.m. and the crash was serious enough for the Traffic Collision Investigation squad to report to the scene.
Seattle Fire Department Lt. Sue Stangl says that the victim, believed to be in her late 20s or early 30s, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious, life-threatening injuries.
