Two men were injured in a single-car accident on Bainbridge Island around 10:30 Sunday night.
William Eisenhardt and his passenger Samuel Boyce were both airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where Eisenhardt remains on life support. Boyce has since been released from the hospital.
The crash took place when the 1997 Porsche Boxster that Eisenhardt was driving crashed into the power pole at the 3700 block of Pleasant Beach Drive on Bainbridge Island. The impact from the collision totaled the Porsche and broke the power pole.
Eisenhardt and Boyce were trapped in the vehicle until firefighters were able to extricate them.
Bainbridge Island Police Lieutenant Sue Shultz said that high speed and alcohol may be factors in the crash but the investigation is ongoing.
William Eisenhardt is in our thoughts and prayers and we hope that he makes a full recovery.
