A baby suffered head injuries in a car accident just after midnight Thursday morning near Federal Way.

She was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a skull fracture and was listed in serious condition.

The accident took place when a woman driving a pick-up truck rear-ended the mini-van in the 33400 block of the Pacific Highway South.

Police stated that the baby was not in her car seat because she had been taken out to be fed and was sitting up front in one of her parent's laps.

The woman driving the truck was thought to be intoxicated and was booked for investigation of vehicular assault.
