He was taken to Harborview where he later passed away.

Seattle Police say the man was trying to walk across the 4500 block of Aurora Avenue North shortly after eight p.m. Thursday evening when he was hit.

The pedestrian had safely crossed the northbound lanes of Aurora but was hit in the southbound lanes by a Chevrolet Blazer.

The pedestrian accident closed one block of southbound Aurora.

According to Seattle Police, the driver of the Chevy didn't show any signs of being under the influence.
