Juan Santana Alvarez, 34, was traveling north on Interstate 5 near Chehalis around 5:45 PM when he lost control of his motorcycle due to windy conditions.
The motorcycle struck the concrete middle barrier and ejected Alvarez over the barrier into the southbound I-5 lanes. Alvarez jumped back over the barrier to come to a rest in the northbound lanes, out of traffic.
Alvarez was taken to the hospital with a broken leg and internal injuries, he was wearing a helmet, and his motorcycle was totaled.
