Three people were injured in a hit-and-run collision in Seattle early Saturday morning.

Just before 3 a.m. a Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Rainier Avenue South when a SUV crossed the center line and struck the Civic. The collision ejected three male passengers from the SUV.

When Officers arrived at the scene they found the three ejected passengers lying in the middle of the intersection and the heavily damaged Honda Civic.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene of the accident and head north. They were found parked at the Atlantic City boat ramp.

The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is being investigated for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, vehicular assault, and felony hit-and-run.

Information about the conditions of the ejected passengers or the victims in the Honda Civic were not reported or available.

Washington State Hit-and-Run Law
A driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in the injury to or death of any person or involving striking the body of a deceased person shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident or as close thereto as possible but shall then forthwith return to, and in every event remain at, the scene of such accident until he or she has fulfilled the requirements of subsection (3) of this section; every such stop shall be made without obstructing traffic more than is necessary.
