Accident News: Bellevue man sentenced in fatal car accident that killed his friend
BELLEVUE — A King County Superior Court judge sentenced a Bellevue man to 2-1/4 years in prison for a drunken-driving accident that killed the man's friend. The driver was intoxicated and driving with a suspended license when he crashed his 1990 Acura Integra into a tree. His passenger died at the scene from brain injuries. A toxicology report revealed his blood-alcohol level was 0.18 percent. The legal limit in Washington is 0.08 percent. He was charged with vehicular homicide and pleaded not guilty.
