According to Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, a 40-year old Aberdeen man died late Saturday night when the Jeep Cherokee he was driving went into a river north of Montesano, Washington.
Two other passengers were in the vehicle when it went off
Whynoochee Valley Road around midnight at mile post 14.5 and crashed into the nearby river.
The two passengers were able to make it to the rivers bank where they were treated for their injuries.
Unfortunately, the 40-year old driver could not be immediately found.
Grays Harbor authorities worked along with the Washington State Patrol and a County marine unit in a search for the driver, who was later found deceased downriver.
Further investigation is being done to uncover the reason for the accident.
