A child was injured by a bicycle while walking with his family Friday night around 6:45 near Pike Place Market.
Six year old Noni Echo-Hawk-Lopez was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a fractured jaw.
Noni, his older brother and their father were walking outside Pike Place Market and were crossing the north side of the intersection of Pike Street and First Avenue when he was hit by a bicyclist.
According to Noni's father, after his son was hit, the bicyclist picked up his bike and started riding away from the accident, but bystanders chased him down at the southeast corner of the intersection and held him until police arrived.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it is estimated that more than 22 percent of children between the ages of five and nine who were killed in accidents were pedestrians.

A child was injured when he was hit by a car in Hoquiam on around 7:45 Halloween night.
Six year old Andrew Metz was taken in an ambulance to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with injuries to his leg and head. He remains in satisfactory condition.
According to Washington State Patrol, Metz darted out from between two parked cars near Lincoln Street and the Wheeler Street intersection when a driver of a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Stacie Blodgett of Hoquiam hit him.

Four children were injured on a school bus Friday afternoon on State Highway 9 in Snohomish County.
According to a Bellevue School District spokeswoman, the four children from Medina Elementary were taken to a Kirkland Hospital as a precaution after they complained of headaches.
The children were on their way back to school after a field trip to a pumpkin patch when a tractor-trailer rig collided with the Bellevue school bus.
