$3.2 Million Awarded to Family of Wrongful Death Case

A court settlement awards $3.2 million in wrongful death case to Lara Gutierrez, widow of a man who was killed in a trucking explosion.

Juan Perez was wrongfully killed when a tanker truck that was in the process of being filled with motor oil, exploded and he was thrown from the truck, resulting in death from injuries. Before the explosion, the truck had a very strong smell of gasoline, which increases the risk of explosion during the filling process. The process normally done to prevent this from happening, did not take place that day.
