18-Month-Old Girl Hit by Van, Seriously Injured in Seattle
An 18-month-old girl was taken to Harborview Medical Center Sunday evening after she was struck by a van in South Seattle Sunday night. According to police, a woman was backing her Dodge van out of an apartment complex parking lot when the girl ran from behind a parked car and was hit by the van. The girl was reportedly seriously injured in the accident.
The incident took place near the 7500 block of 43rd Avenue South in Seattle at approximately 6:30 p.m. The driver of the van did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
