17-year-old killed in accident on Highway 542

DESCRIPTION: On her way to her high school volleyball game, a 17-year-old girl was was stopped at an intersection on Highway 542 near Deming when she was struck from behind by another vehicle. Her car was pushed into the intersection and was struck by an oncoming semi-truck. She died at the scene. Washington State Patrol are still investigating the cause of the collision.
