1 dead, 9 hurt in Lake Tapps boat collision

A speeding boat traveling in the dark collided with another boat on Lake Tapps near Bonney Lake.
One person was killed and nine injured in the collision at about 10:30 p.m. Ronald Scott of Bonney Lake, was killed. Two of the injured were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Others were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, Madigan Army Medical Center and Tacoma General Hospital.
The driver of one boat has been arrested for investigation of homicide by watercraft and watercraft assault.
