$1.275 Million Awarded to Victim of Truck Accident for Damages

After a four day trial, a car accident victim was awarded $1.275 million in damages. He was hit by a truck driver that swerved into his lane and hit the vehicle that the victim and his wife were traveling in.

The injured man sued the truck driver and his place of employment, Eagle Engineering, based on severe and permanent injuries resulting from the crash.

In Washington State, about 39 fatal and 1,364 non-fatal trucking related accidents occur each year. It is no surprise that weather conditions are a factor in 13% of these truck accidents each year.

Drivers of small vehicles need to be very cautious when driving near a large truck due to their domination on the roadways, in order to avoid car accidents and/or fatalities.
